Goats are very intelligent and curious animals. They have a very inquisitive nature and a constant desire to explore. They are very social animals and become depressed and worried if separated or isolated from their companions. A baby goat is called a kid. Interestingly, goats cannot perceive the colour blue, for them the sky is always grey.Goats and their kids recognize each other by the sound of their calls, not by their appearance. Their age can be determined by their teeth. A one-year-old kid has, for example, two teeth, while a two-year-old has four teeth and is then considered an adult. Newly born domestic goat kids are able to stand immediately and to follow their mother.
